Case study - Challenge #1

My client was purchasing a property and went directly to his bank. The bank agreed to lend him the money as he was looking to purchase the property next to his ex partner for childcare reasons as he lives out of Nottingham and wanted to spend as much time with his children as possible and wanted to be close by when coming back to see his children.

The property was down-valued due to this and the location of the property. He didn’t want to miss out on the golden opportunity so his ex partner decided to gift him the additional funds to purchase. Due to the nature of relationship with his ex partner, the bank declined the mortgage due to the deposit funds.

My client got in touch with me and advised me of his concerns and wanted to have something quickly approved so he doesn’t miss out on the opportunity. I completed an in-depth consultation, understanding his current his needs, priority and outgoings and found a high street lender that will accommodate this type of borrowing considering all the facts.

The Mortgage lender approved the mortgage within a 3 weeks after submitting the mortgage application.
